Teaching a child to serve is probably the most difficult task in the church. The youth at Keolahou are very much a part of our service and our church body. During the year we have organized project of which they are involved.
Kahu Craig has developed a gardening project called Mala’ai from which Na Keiki are taught the joy of planting, caring and reaping the fruits of their labor.
Our Building and Grounds ministry have found Na Keiki very helpful in the painting and ground maintenance areas. Na Keiki just completed (with help from mom’s and friends) painting the white picket fence surrounding the church. They have also done a wonderful job of clearing and cleaning the graves on our property.
Holidays are a great for the children to learn the true meaning of Christmas. They have been involved with the Shoe Box Ministry where they pack inividualshoe boxes with age appropriate items to be sent to youth in the third world countries.
